Elferspot becomes part of the duPont REGISTRY Group and expands international presence

Strategic partnership strengthens global visibility and reach in the Porsche enthusiast market

Elferspot, the marketplace for classic and used Porsche sports cars, is taking the next step in its international development. To this end, Elferspot is becoming part of the US duPont REGISTRY Group (dRG). dRG recently secured a majority stake in Elferspot. The cooperation is designed as a strategic partnership and aims to offer Elferspot customers and partners an even bigger stage in the international market – especially in the USA, one of the most important enthusiast markets worldwide.

Importantly, nothing will change in terms of identity, team and day-to-day business. Elferspot will remain consistently Porsche-focused and will continue to be operated and managed by the existing team in Linz, Austria. Founder Markus Klimesch remains CEO, continues to be a significant shareholder and will continue to shape the voice and direction of the brand.

More visibility in the international environment

For sellers, dealers and partners, the strategic partnership means one thing above all: more visibility for advertisements – in an even more international environment. “In recent years, Elferspot has already established itself as a platform that brings together supply and demand in the Porsche segment from all over the world. Through the partnership with the duPont REGISTRY Group, this path will be consistently continued in the future,” says Elferspot founder and CEO Markus Klimesch. The USA is already one of Elferspot’s most important markets – directly behind the DACH region, the United States is in second place, closely followed by the Benelux region.

Greater choice for buyers – and more efficient marketing for sellers

Growing international visibility goes hand in hand with a clear ambition: buyers should be able to choose from an even broader, international range – while sellers and dealers benefit from even more efficient marketing. Elferspot remains true to its curated focus: high-quality vehicle presentation in an environment that reaches precisely the target group that really understands Porsche.

Additional reach via a strong editorial and brand ecosystem

The duPont REGISTRY Group unites numerous high-caliber companies in its network. These include the luxury vehicle market duPont REGISTRY, the Supercar Owners Circle, Retromobile USA, Sotheby’s Motorsport and Petrolicious. “Elferspot represents exactly the type of focused, enthusiast-led platform we seek to bring into the duPont REGISTRY Group ecosystem,” said Antoine Tessier, CEO of duPont REGISTRY Group. “Porsche enthusiasts and collectors are among the most passionate and discerning in the automotive world, and Elferspot’s engaged community mirrors the sophistication, loyalty and scale of our existing Ferrari audience. This investment allows us to deepen our presence in one of the strongest segments of the global collector market.”

In addition to marketing and network effects, the partnership opens up additional opportunities to make Elferspot content and advertisements visible in a larger international context – for example via editorial and content touchpoints within the dRG network. The claim remains unchanged: Elferspot retains the specialized view and the very personal customer service that have characterized the platform since the beginning. “Elferspot has always been built by Porsche enthusiasts for Porsche enthusiasts — and I’m proud of what our team has created over the years, based in Austria,” says Markus Klimesch.

From Austria to the whole world – like Porsche itself once did

The Elferspot founder also sees certain parallels to Porsche’s history in the new partnership: “What many people don’t know is that the earliest Porsche 356 sports cars were built in Austria before Porsche returned to Stuttgart. The U.S. then played an important role early on in Porsche’s global success. In a way, Elferspot follows a similar path: we started in Austria, built a global enthusiast community, and now we’re joining forces with duPont REGISTRY Group in the U.S. to take the next step — while staying Porsche-focused, Austria-based, and run by the same team.”

We have grown profitably on a sustainable basis and over the years, we repeatedly received inbound interest from potential buyers and investors, but we decided to take this step only with duPont REGISTRY Group.

“We have grown profitably on a sustainable basis and have repeatedly received interest from potential buyers and investors over the years – we are deliberately only taking this step with the duPont REGISTRY Group,” Klimesch continued. “We share a long-term vision and see strong strategic fit and real synergies. For all our customers and partners, our core promise remains unchanged: we stay Porsche-focused, Austria-based, and run by the same team, with more opportunities to grow together.”
