Porsche 934
Highlights
- Genuine 934 with period race history
- One of only 30 934’s produced, the 22nd car built
- Possibly the most original remaining 934
One of only 31 Porsche 934s ever produced, Chassis #0172 was the 22nd of the 31 and was sold new in 1976 to the Firestone tire importer in Germany.
Its long and distinguished racing history includes 11 podiums and 18 race wins, all well documented in the definitive book, Porsche 934/935, by Jürgen Bath and marque expert Bernd Dobronz.
The combination of its known ownership history and a major accident-free race record mean this example is likely to be the most original and well-documented of all remaining 934s that have been successfully raced internationally, as confirmed in a recent inspection and report by Andy Prill – one of the world’s leading experts on competition Porsches. After retiring from competitive motorsport, #0172 was uniquely and sympathetically converted and registered in the EU for road use. All original parts that were carefully removed during this process were retained, allowing for a straightforward and achievable conversion back to full race specification in the future by any competent race engineering shop.
